Is last week of April still spring break time?

Hi! We've been to DW 3 times but always during off-peak times with low crowds. Right now, we're planning a trip for the end of April (April 28th - May 5th) and I'm concerned that some schools may be still on spring break - or that some others may even be out for the summer (school schedules are so varied these days!)

So- I was just hoping to get some feedback from people who may have been at this time of year. We can still change our dates if we need to. If there's going to be long lines, I'd rather go another time! Thanks so much!!

Spring Break is considered to last two weeks past Easter at WDW. Hope that helps.

It is hard to say because spring breaks change from year to year. That is still considered a peak time but I would imagine it would be a lot better than going the week before or thr week after Easter.

We have always gone to WDW on or around May 10th, and every time we have just walked onto rides without a wait. Well, we waited about five minutes for Splash Mountain, but that's it. We finished everything we wanted to do in the MK from 5 pm to 11 pm. That's including riding things twice! Now, about a week later, you could not move in the parks.

May heat?

Hey! For those of you who have been that time of year... what's the heat like? Has it started getting really toasty around the first of May yet? I'm sooooo ready to get there! LOL :yahoo:

The heat usually isn't too bad. It is Florida so it will probably be warm during the days - but it's sure better than July or August. I was down there for a week last May (the 5th - 12th) and had a great time. The weather was perfect and there were hardly any crowds. I think it is a wonderful time to go.

we are going 26 april to 10 may. went same time last year and had a fab time. most rides were walk on, gorgeous weather (rained one 1 day for bout 5 mins) hot but not too hot.
