I know this page looks daunting, but it's the most comprehensive one about ticket pricing sold directly from Disney.

I don't know about AAA, as I have never used them for a Disney vacation.

I got a whole lot for family from AAA and we didn't all go in at the same time. As long as you get the vouchers, anyone can trade them in for the park tix. If you're doing hotel too, I'm not sure how that works. I frequently book regular (ie non-Disney) hotels with AAA and less than half the time do they ask for my card, but I'm not sure how their packages work...
thanks i'm going to call and ask how much they are

Generally speaking, Disney doesn't offer discounted ticket prices. NEVER purchase tickets on ebay or out of the newspaper. There is no way to be sure they are actually good until you get to the parks and by then, it would be too late to find out that you were scammed.
AAA does offer discounted tickets but in most cases it's a very small percentage. You might save anywhere from $5 to $20 per ticket but I have found that in the overall cost of a WDW vacation, this discount isn't more than a drop in the bucket.
You can try some travel agents who specialize in Disney. Magic for Less Travel or Magical Vacations are a few that are specialists. Typically what they do is purchase rooms at a group rate and then try to sell these block of rooms to customers. Along with the room discount, they are usually able to offer discounted park tickets as well. That being said, the discounts for tickets still aren't great. You probably won't find 50% off or anything like that.
You mentioned that you're trying to encourage your friend to stay on property. By using a travel agent, they may not get huge savings on tickets, but they might get a great discount on rooms. For example, Magical Vacations was able to offer me the Polynesian Resort this summer for $230 per night. That's extremely cheap for a delux resort. Normally, the Polynesian is well over $300 per night.
One thing to watch out for when using an agent however, the discounted tickets are usually park hoppers (or Magic Your Way with hopper options) but you won'tbe able to add the dining plan or some other features. Just be sure to ask ahead of time if there are any restrictions.
Finally, one last way to save on tickets is to purchase them online or even the Disney Store in your local mall.
Hope this helps.![]()
I have actually bought a ticket from ebay for a friend. I got a park hopper for 60 bucks. It turned out to be legit so I was lucky, but there is no way to know if its used or not. I was just lucky and I had a guarentee from the buyer that if it was already used, I'd get my money back!

Well, I did a time share thing against my will. We went down to visit my wife's grandmother who had one in Orlando for 2 weeks. When we arrived, we were invited to a breakfast that was supposed to be a "presentation" about an additonal property the company was building. We were persuaded to go for the "free tickets" so we foolishly agreed. It turned out to be a 2 hour, one-on-one, high pressure presentation. Worst of all, I couldn't leave! Every time we tried to find the exit, another salesman came out of hiding and tried to stop us. Also, the office was huge and built like a maze so I couldn't find the exit. There were closed doors everywhere and when I went through one, it led to another room with more doors. I actually got so mad, I threatened to call the police on my cell phone! Then they got very rude and started to insult me--saying I was too poor and had no buisness being on vacation--that I should be home saving my money. It was very unpleasent. I would never go through that again.
Some people however don't mind and can play along all day if they need to. Not me, I just assume pay for my tickets but I can say that, I realize Disney isn't affordable to everyone.
If I ever had to do it again, I figure the best way to get out of it is to just say I don't like anything they show me. There isn't much they can do if you just don't like any of the timeshares. The worst thing to say is that it's not in your budget...they have an answer for everything if you go that route. Hope this helps.
i have never went one.. when we went to cancun as soon as we stepped of the plane and got thru customs we were just ran over with timeshare people it was awful! i couldnt stand it! and i felt the same way about gatlinburg.. thats what i thought of cancun.. Fkordia weather with gatlinburgs timeshare people..
i will never go to one because i believe i would end up telling them to cram it and walk out...
if i'm going to join a club like that it would be disneys..

Yes, I would LOVE to do the Disney timeshare program, I've been practically begging my wife for about a year now. I just can't convince her. Maybe I'll buy one and give it to her as an anniversary present sometime...then she can't say no! lol
i would liek to do but i have to convince my hubby... he is a tight wad....LOL

Tell your friend to pay full price for Disney tickets but make her buy the 10 day hopper with no expiration so next time she visits she will already have "free" tickets. Better to look for great hotel discounts, bring homemade lunches and skimp on presents than risk spending all morning at a boring presentation. (What would they do with the kids?) Take heaps of photographs and make albums of memories for later! Have fun!
