I think it just costs if you want to buy any of the food and wine from around the countries. I know they have samples for lower prices, but they are not THAT cheap.

There are a lot of free things to do and see at the F&WF, like demonstrations and musical acts from some of the countries. Admission is included with your EPCOT ticket. However, food and drink is extra, but sometimes you can get free samples like the delicious chocolate from Italy we got a couple years ago. Also, the Food Network usually has a competition of some sort during the Festival.

thanks for the info guys.. i'm not very brave when it comes to food in the first place and i hardly drink.. the last time i had a drink was 2 yrs ago

I spent a day at F&W Festival back in Oct. 2004. I don't drink at all myself and I didn't spend the $$$ on food but it was a lot of fun to see the different food displays and all the "goin' on" around the World Showcase. You'll definitely had a good time!

This will be my 7th F&W Festival in a row. I remember the first year I went the food booths were very temporary looking. The current booths are quite nice - the whole event gets better every year IMHO. In addition to the samples of food and beverage you can get from a couple dozen booths around World Showcase, you can particpate in a number of pay events. Last year I took part in several tastings at the Odessey. My favorite was the chocolate tasing. There was a gentleman there from Callebaut Chocolates and he explained the chocolate making process while we sampled five little bars of different chocolates from milk to very dark. Then we got three petit fours made from different chocolates. I hope to get to do that one again!

Trust me...there is something for everyone. BTW - if you participate in the DDP, in 2005 and 2006 you were able to use your snack credits for the samples from the booths
