week after x-mas?
How busy is this compared to Spring Break season? Even though my next trip(taking my dance team) is not till '10 I'm already tossing around ideas.
I'm trying to finagle going so we can see the holiday decorations. I know X-mas week is out but I was wondering about the crowd level for the next week?
Thoughts?
TIA!

Week AFTER is MUCH MUCH better than Spring Break. Kids are back in school most places the week after (depending on where they live obviously) but the big difference is the weather. The Spring Break weather draws the crowds, not just the time off from school. Week after Christmas is much cooler and not "let's go party in FL" weather.

ohhhh that sounds great
We generally get the week of x-mas off and then the week after. Like this year we don't return until the 8th to school. Are the x-mas decorations still up?
That way we can do cute little x-mas dances.....::::runs to look at costume books:::

I'm trying to remember... we went a few days after Christmas a couple years back. I THINK they keep the decorations up until NYE but I could be wrong.

Yes, the Christmas decorations stay up through New Years and although it's not as busy as Spring Break, you still need to be prepared for very busy parks.
Almost all schools in the Midwest and East Coast are closed through New Years.

Even with the two 10's at first, this week is better than Spring Break (3rd Week of March), which is at 10's to 8's

Were you talking about the week after Christmas or the week after New Year's? Because my experience has shown that the week after Christmas (12/26-12/30) is the busiest time of the year with New Year's Eve being the worst day of the year to visit any Central Florida Parks....The demographics may have changed recently, but just 3 years ago I worked a closing shift at the Disney MGM studios and my normal 20 minute drive home took about 3 hours because of the crowds leaving 3 parks at the same time...AK had long since closed for the day....

Well that's a different story.....I don't consider that time frame "the week after Christmas". I would consider that the week after New Years. I thought you were talking the 7 days after Christmas which be very busy! If you aren't going until after January 1st, you will be fine!
