Candlelight Processional

Im not sure if Im putting this in the right place, or if Im asking a question someone already else has, but I was wondering about the crowds for the Candlelight Processional. Im a seasoned WDW veteran, but have never seen the show and would really like to during my trip this weekend. Can anyone give me an idea of how long I should anticipate waiting in line or, better yet, tell me what time I should plan on getting in line? Im kind of assuming that the later shows might be less crowded, but you never know. Anyone have any tips for me????:question:

I've never been either but I recently heard someone talking about it and they said the lines were long and to get in line 1-11/2 hours before the show. I believe they said that the first show was the best to try to get in (I have no idea of the times) but the last show may interfere with getting a good spot for Illuminations.http://bestsmileys.com/christmas2/7.gif

It usually depends a lot on the celebrity giving the Processional that day but you can expect lines to form easily an hour+ before the show starts. The theater is not incredibly big so sometimes it fills up. It's a cool experience, I really recommend it! Have a great trip!

We've gone twice and both times were able to get reserved seating in Epcot for dinner before the program which gets you into the program with a shorter wait. Check when making your dinner plans if reserved seating for the CP is included.

Definitely allow an hour+. There are two lines, one for those who have CP dinner packages (last year this line was on the left side of the theatre stretching back to Japan), and one for stand-by (which last year was on the right side and went a looong way!). So make sure you get in the correct line. The theatre does hold more people than you might expect, and they use every inch, including the wall along the entrance ramp for seating. A CM usually is along the line telling people when they are in the *might get you squeezed in* point. They also keep seating people after the show has started. The past two years I was waaaaay back in the queue after getting in line about 30 mins beforehand, and got in after the show began. The first year we got really lucky and got great seats right up front, last year I got the very last seat on the wall. David Curtis Chapman did a good job as narrator, and I believe that he is back again this weekend.

I am going to be going next Thursday. What I am wondering is, if I don't get a seat in the Theater, can you still see the show if you stand in the walkway in the back? And what time is usually better? Do more people generally try to see the earlier show vs. the later one? Thanks in advance for your help! I am so excited, this is my first time seeing the show.

It depends on the celebrity and the time of year. Last year (a year from next week), Kirk Cameron was there and we wanted to go. But the line was streched all the way to Morocco. I would definately try to get the CP dinner package.

Yes,sometimes you can see the show, but not always. I'm more interested in hearing that show than watching it. So I often don't line up, just find a spot to stand nearish the theater and listen. As far as times....in the past i noticed the earlier shows don't always seem to be crowded, but that could have just been the nights I was there.

Go to the download section in DWT. Find the section for DWT mechandise - lanyards etc. There is a file to download and printout. I'll probably just miss you in the airport. We arrive Monday around 5:00 PM

It's the retelling of the Christmas Story with a CM Choir, various HS Choirs, Celebrity Narrator, the Voices of Liberty, and a live orchestra. It is performed in the American Gardens Theatre at the American Adventure in Epcot. It's only performed this time of year.
