    WDW Crowd Levels in April

We always go to WDW in May but this year we're thinking of rearanging our schedule and going in April from the 18th through the 23rd. I wasn't concerned because Easter is in March this year and a month before we are planning on going. But I just checked the AllEars general crowd levels guide and it lists this time as high attendence. I know that private schools and colleges have spring breaks that are not centered around the Easter holiday but I thought that most public schools' spring breaks centered around Easter. Should I be concerned. Does anyone have any experience with spring crowd levels that are not around Easter.

    Thanks,

    Jen

That's not fair! The 18th is my birthday!
I've never been in April, so I don't have any advice. But I couldn't let that go!

Have Fun when ever you decide to go!

P.S. They maybe factoring in the fact that Easter is usually in April and that particular day is historically very crowded. I could be totally wrong, but that would be my guess.

FYI- the northeast schools tend to have off the third or fourth weeks of April. By then, everyone is ready to fly away so my guess is the crowds will be elevated but by how much I couldn't say.

Well, I can tell you all for sure that the weeks of Presidents' Day (in Feb.) and Patriots' Day (in Apr.) are always vacation weeks in MA. I work for the school system here and it's been that way forever. Patriots' Day is always the third Monday in April, the day the Boston Marathon is run.

Also, usually New Hampshire follows us by one week. They aren't usually the same weeks.

Patriots Day is a MA state holiday- celebrating the Concord/Lexington skirmishes before the Revolutionary War.

Actually, I think it's just an excuse for state employees get get a day off of work!!!

Oh, Virginia had something like that: Lee, Jackson, King Day. This was a day to celebrate the Civil War Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson as well as a day to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. For obvious reasons, this day was split into two separate holidays: Lee, Jackson Day and MLK Day about five years ago.

Haha, the same thing happend here a few years ago. We used to celebrate MLK and R.E. Lee Day on the same day, but it was split. Now only if we could have 2 days off, but it doesn't work out that way I guess.

I was about to say that Patriot's Day was on Sept. 11, but that is called Pariot Day, without the 's.
