When is yours or your child's Spring Break 08?

Ok, obsessive type A planner that I am; I would like to know when you or your child has spring break. We always go to Disney in May and this year we are planning to go at the end of April (18th - 24th). Since Easter is much earlier I didn't think it would be a problem but someone pointed out to me that in the northeast Spring Break is often in April. Here in the south (read: bible belt) spring break is always centered around Easter.

Anyway, if you would be so kind as to respond to this poll, you will either ease my mind or help me reconsider. Also, if you have any experience with late April crowds let me know... I'd be mighty appreciative.

    Thanks,
    Jen

Many of our public school districts on Long Island will be closed April 21 - 25 because of Passover. They have a few days off around Easter, but the longer break is in April.
I would expect to hear a lot of Lawn Guyland Accents in Disney that week

I'm not sure how much the UK tourist market influences how busy the parks get, but most UK schools are off 20th March - 8th April

There used to be consistency in my area with the Spring Breaks matching up with Good Friday, Easter, and the week following it... but not as much as they used to. Weird....cause I grew up with the whole "off for Good Friday and the week following it" type of Spring Breaks.

I have learned that some schools somewhere in the USA....whether it's K-12 or college...private or public...are on a Spring Break sometime in the months of March and/or April. Not every area has the Easter/Spring Break connection, my nieces and nephews live in the Mid West and their Spring Break has rarely matched up with Easter.

Actually it's been a few years since I've gone in April. But we generally stay away from times when school is on vacation.

My university is off March 16-23 but they are giving us off that Monday because we usually have off the Monday after Easter.

I'm in Med School and our Spring Break is March 3-7th. We're going to Disney March 1st-11th. We sacrifice a bit of warmth but the trade off is great because this isn't a typical Spring Break time and we don't wait in line for anything!

Hi, my kids Spring Break follows the Easter holiday, as always. This year March 21st-28th. But now in Michigan things are changing due to College Entrance Exam schedules (the ACT's), which are only given the week after Easter. So, the public school that my husband works at will be off on Good Friday, the 21st, then back to school after Easter, then off again the week of Mar. 31st-April 4th. CRAZY!!! It's rumored that all of Michigan will soon follow that same schedule. Who knows?!

Needless to say, no family vacation for us this Easter!!

Anyway, hope you have a wonderful trip!!!

My kids are off from March 15 through March 30 this year. We'll be in Disney the entire time, which is just great. I can't wait.
