I was just a few weeks older than 2 the first time I went. Walt Disney World had been open 2 months when we made our very first trip. I was lucky to have Grandparents who lived about 45 minutes away.

I have been to WDW at least once a year every year since then except for 2004!

The first time I went to WDW I was nine and finally went back in 2005. That is when I realized I wanted to make Disney an annual trip. I remember seeing Splash mountain being built while I was there and remember seeing a Parade while eating lunch. The parade is my favorite disney memory cause a couple of characters were walking along and shook my hand and patted me on the head. At 9 I thought that was the coolest thing in the world!

This year I am going back in May (14th -21st) and I can not wait.

Everyone has such great stories...I am amazed to see how many people didn't get to experience WDW until later on in life.

I was 8 years old. But my parents had taken us to the preview center the year before. We had not idea what we were seeing at the preview center. Luckily my parents did and took us back that next year.

My first trip was an 8th grade graduation present. I was 13 and it was 1986.

Then we went every four years after that-high school graduation and then college graduation. Now I go every chance I can get (and afford).

I was about 7 or 8. So in like 96-97, we only went to the Magic Kingdom because we were staying in Longboat Key and just drove up for the day, but it is easily one of my fondest childhood memories. My first attraction was Space Mountain, which is still one of my absolute favorites, then we did pretty much all of the other major attractions, INCLUDING the Carousel of Progress. I remember being kind of bored being that young, but now I'd be extremely upset if it got removed, cause i now understand the significance. That first time on the Haunted Mansion was amazing obviously, then there was Big Thunder and I thought i was gonna hit my head on the Dinosaur bones everytime when I was younger even though I'm not even close now. Of course Splash as well, I cant even explain how scared I was but now its my absolute favorite. When we left I looked back at "the castle" until I couldnt see it anymore, which is still something I do on every trip. So many memories its ridiculous. Thanks for making this thread, it gave me time to think back!

Don't think I was quite a year old the first time I went. The first time I remember was when I was 4... stayed at the Marriott World Center and thought between that and our WDW trips that summer that I was definately a princess.

Keep in mind, that for some of us, WDW didn't exist until we were adults.
