I seem to recall that I was in the Magic Kingdom on the day of the first MNSSHP of last year, I'm sure they will start it even earlier this year...

I saw the dates from 2008. I'm trying to plan a trip for this year that would get us free DDP (if offered) and MNSSHP. I think I can get it done.

Called Disney today and they said some time at the beginning of August. I'm still going to keep check every month though.

Mike, do you mean August when free DDP would start? That would be a little early for MNSSHP.

Not sure what DDP is, but Disney told me that the beginning of August is when the tickets for MNSSHP would start selling. I'm not 100% sure if that's correct as I have never been to Disney, then again, I don't think they would mislead me. I figure I'm going to check every month just to be sure though.

I think checking each month is a good idea. I don't have a ton of experience with the Halloween Party, but getting dates in August sounds late. But these days, who knows how things go...

In the past when bought tickets for Halloween night, I was able to do it in the Spring when the dates and prices for MNSSHP and MVMCP are typically announced.

I want to say that we bought our tickets at least by June or July. But that was a couple of years ago. We had such a good time! We all dresed up as members of the cast of Beauty and the Beast. We had Belle and 2 beasts(my husband and my youngest) Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Bells father ( Sorry mind is blank on his name). We were a hit! People stopped us to take our pictures and we keep hearing people talking about how cute we all looked. If you go have fun with it. We saw a guy dressed as Snow White and had seven Drawfs (kids in his group). Kinda scary, but totally funny.

The only time I went to MNSSHP we went to one of the first of the year. It was also the first year for the free dining so we got both. However, I don't think that last year's dates overlapped.

Hey! It looks like we're taking the family down for halloween week!

What's this free DDP I'm hearing about?

Inquiring minds would love to know!

Learned the other day, it's Disney Dining Package. Apparently, a least for the last few years, Disney has been offering this package free as part of one of their Fall promotions. I believe you have to reserve 6 night / 7 day packages. I'm hoping they do it this year too so I can get it.
