Solo Trips

Any solo folks out there? I took a trip in April by myself and had an absolute blast, doing it again in August! Post if you've gone / plan on going solo! Does anyone know if there are any social groups / gatherings for people that go alone?

I've gone solo several times. I find it so much more relaxing since you can go at your own pace and do the things you want to do. It is nice going with others, but I've gone by myself about three or four times and plan on going again in September alone.

I will go solo sometime soon but hope to catch one of Lou's meet that somehow I always miss by a day or 2. I think I splurge and stay at Contemporary so I can come and go alot.

I've gone solo several times. Usually because DH isn't able to take time off and DS couldn't take off from school. Fortunately my eldest DS was in college in FL at the time. I'd visit with him a day or two then off to WDW for a solo adventure.
I try to meet up with board members when I'm solo (much more flexible w/o the family) at least one night during the trip. There's always someone visiting around the same time.
It's great fun. Eat wherever & whenever you want, sleep late, spa treatments all day if you can afford it, LOL

I haven't gone solo, but I've ended up solo when I want to stay up late and everyone else wants to sleep. I enjoy the time by myself by taking advantage of PhotoPass and also looking for all the little details by riding attractions multiple times in a row and/or looking at/in buildings and stores.

I'm taking a solo trip from England for 10 days on October 1st. I'm pretty sure Lou gave the dates for upcoming meets on the last show and said the one in October is towards the end of the month so I'm going to miss it

It's a shame as I was really hoping I would be able to meet up with other disney fans and especially as I'll be there on my own for 10 days I would have had some company for a while.

I'm looking forward to my trip soooo much! It is a little scary as It's a long way from home by myself and the first time I'll have been away on my own. I'm really looking forward to planning what I want to do each day and taking time to do things that you can't really do if you are travelling with someone else (eg. riding your favourite attraction over and over....and over!) and best of all I can eat where I want and when I want...In other words no one to pass judgment if I accidently ate 3 dole whips in one day (not that I've ever done that)

Ive been 3x with family....immediatly family. Mom, Dad and siblings 1 time and 2x with just sisters and kids in tow. And 3x solo.

Solo for me was the best. It is a selfish pleasure to be sure. But the way i look at it, is that I work very hard for my money and hardly take vacations. My vacations are spread out 2-5 years between. I do alot for my family in my spare time so very little "me" time.

Going at your own pace is a pure pleasure. Group decisions always take way longer than my own....it always seamed that while in a group, everyone wanted to head in a different direction, ride a different ride or worst of all spend waaaaaaaayyy to much time shopping in the stores.

I enjoy the trips I take when I can get a day or two by myself. It is nice to be able to go do anything you want in the order you want. I have never gone fully by myself but met up with friends or family. But it is nice on those trips to do something by myself also.

I really like to stroll down Main Street by myself and take pictures enjoying the background music.

My next trip will probably be the last in a while so I am unsure how I am going to make it special for me. I'll have to see.
