My first time at WDW from ITALY

Hi from Italy ,
have already been 4 times in Disneyland Resort Paris and stay in Sequoia Lodge Disney Hotel.
My great dream is to make a trip to Orlando.
I have: about 7 or 8 days, staying at a Disney Resort, visit all WDW theme parks (water parks includes).
My first question to the experts is:
what is the best time forecast of year?
Thanks!!!

Re: My first time at WDW from ITALY

aggynomadi, this link may help from weather.com..... Average Weather for Orlando, FL - Temperature and Precipitation
it shows the monthly averages of rainfall and temps for the Orlando area. Personally I like it a little cooler, so I never go in the summer. Here is another link from allears.net, it may be easier to read......

Re: My first time at WDW from ITALY

The water parks may close due to bad weather or full capacity and I believe one of the two parks closes sometime usually during the winter months for rehab.
When were you planning on going??

Re: My first time at WDW from ITALY

It tends to be VERY busy in march/april due to all the spring breaks and also easter. I go often in march and the lineups are pretty crazy. December might be better... but less hot.
As for the hotel, how many people are goign and what ages? I stayed at Pop Century (value) with a friend and loved it, but a moderate would have a bit more space.

Re: My first time at WDW from ITALY

June and July are in hurricane season, but are early in the season. The greater hurricane risk is august to September. You will have rain and thunderstorms, but these normally last only an hour in the afternoon in the summer.

Re: My first time at WDW from ITALY

If you can afford the moderate, consider Port Orleans French Quarter or Riverside.

mmm
rain could fit! just one or two hour at day
but the hurricanes and storms I would avoid them!
Well, between November and June should be the best times?
Not advisable, however from July to October?

In fact at this point should I move the vacation of a few months and wait for the celebrations for 40th birthday. Another question, but the celebrations for 40th birthday start in 2010 Ocotober for 12 months or start in 2011 October? (At Paris the celebration for the 15th birthday was started officialy in 2006 and closed in 2007 and then were extended until the spring of 2008)

Re: My first time at WDW from ITALY

My favorite times to visit the parks are the first two weeks of December. The crowds are usually very light, and everything is decorated for the holidays.

The temperature can range from very hot to down right chilly during that time, so you have to be prepared for anything - although, I really don't remember any visits during that time when it rained.

You are going to LOVE Walt Disney World!!!

If you go in December for your birthday you can either get in free for the day or they will give you a voucher to spend in the gift shops ( I think it's for $50.00). I use to go in March/April all the time but if your are going around Easter it will be very crowded. I don't think that is Hurricane season yet, I'm pretty sure Hurricane season runs from June-November. There's never really a bad time to go but I would try to avoid major holidays.
I agree that if you can afford the moderate I think you would enjoy it. At Port Orleans they have a restaurant, lounge and entertainment, and a carriage ride.....Carriage and Wagon Rides look at the section under Port Orleans. I have never stayed at Port Orleans but I have heard that the French Quarter is more suitable for couples.

The rehab schedule is not up yet for May 2010 but I doubt they would close a water park in May in Florida, it gets very hot there. All water parks should be up and running at that time.
Also I added another paragraph to my last post about staying at a moderate.
