hey guys! long time no see.. my other pc had issues and wouldnt go on certain sites but i have a new one now! and i finally finished school in june and i'm working now. the hubby surprised me!! he one day said we could go to disney for halloweenwoohoo!!

but i have to go to the other park too for him and the kennedy space center. i cant spend my entire trip at disney.. but i'm happy to get what i can take.my travel question is.. because we are going to be going to the other park too.. should i and would it be cheaper to stay off site?

Congrats on finishing school. It will certainly be cheaper staying off site than staying on property. For the past two years, we have made trips in June and our family of five has been able to rent a 4 BR, 3BA house with private pool for the cost a value resort. So, it is definitely less off site.

We have done that other place also. If the Universal benefits are still the same you might want to go to Kennedy (get it out of the way) then stay on sight at the Universal property. When I was there your room key was your fastpass and it was unlimited. At any fastpass ride with your room key you got to by-pass the regular line. It was fantastic.

Then we transferred hotels to Disney Property so we could take advantage of the the early and/or late evenings.

I agree with HauntedGabe -- the front of the line benefit at Universal is worth staying at one of their resorts. But their resorts can be pricey as well.

I always vote for staying on site - particularly when there are such great promos out there, like right now!

Split decision. How long does the hubby want to be at Kennedy? How much time do you need at Universal and how much at WDW? Universal fastpasses seem to be the best bargain-if they have a value resort available. Also, there are so many hotels in orlando hurting right now, you might could get a better wuality hotel, of site, for less money leaving more for park fun. If you need meal plans-then stay on site. I think I would determine the kennedy thing-do it first, then the rest ending at WDW. I like my last ight to be at MK. Just a thing I have, I like my last memory of the parks to be Wishes, or whatever is the MK thing.

Hi Chrissy! Long time no see!

You should definitely still check out the prices at WDW. All of the other parks are within reasonable driving distance from WDW and they have some great prices for hotel rooms being offered right now! We had booked an off site hotel for the day we arrive in Florida before moving to our Disney Resort the next day, but it was actually cheaper for us to add an additional day onto the front of our reservation, plus it give us another night of free dining!!!

Plus, by staying on WDW property you'll still be getting that dose of Disney magic even on the days he drags you off to those other horid places!

thats what i'm thinking.. i think i am going to book disney anyway.. friday we will be resting and will probly be going to DTD. halloween i want to do liberty tavern an stuff.. so if i was to pay for all that on my own separate... i wouldnt be doing any better.. so i'm booking disney from oct 30-2 of nov.. get free dining on those days.. so our food will be covered even if we just eat at our hotel.. but for tickets and room and food will be like 706.. i think thats pretty good considering tickets alon were going to be like 230

hey guys.. thanks for the warm welcome.. and were doing disney first because the way halloween falls.. we wanna be there for halloween.. and i could never get my hubby to go for changing hotels.. when we go to kennedy we will stay the night there after touring all day.. but while in orlando i prefer not to move around. and i have checked out universals web page and i have trouble understand all their packages and stuff its not as simple as disneys..
