| Suggested Attraction: Animation Academy Hello everyone, I have an overlooked attraction I wanted to suggest you add to your list of must-dos in Hollywood Studios. I would suggest you add the Animation Academy, the drawing class (around 20+ minutes) that is taught by a Disney animator in the Animation Pavilion. During the class, the animator teaches you how to draw a Disney character (of his choice, changes throughout the day), and you get to take your drawing home. The class is geared towards adults and older children, but my 8 and 10-year old children were able to maintain their confidence and do some very good drawings that they were happy with with a little extra encouragement and coaching from mom and dad. This was one of the highlights of our family trip, and we framed all four of our drawings after we returned home. While we were waiting for admission, we heard the cast member say that he had never had a full class, despite only 38 people allowed in at a time. It was educational, fun and free, and provided us with some really wonderful souvenirs. Dan Disneyhomevideo |

| Re: Suggested Attraction: Animation Academy Thanks for mentioning this. I've seen trip reports that included this, and I would really enjoy it. I have a 4 & 6 year old, so I'm not sure if they'd do well or not. I will say my 4 year old has watched drawing programs (VeggieTales, specifically) and can now draw many of those characters, and they are clearly identifiable... impressive for a 4yo. As far as Disney goes, he draws a neat Wall-E & Eve... and usually draws a bunch of squares near Wall-E to represent the garbage he compacts. ![]() Actually, now that I think about it, if it's only 20 minutes, perhaps my kids would like it! We'll see.

| Re: Suggested Attraction: Animation Academy My little 12 year-old artist daughter has been doing this for the past few years on each trip. Her goal is to be a Disney artist. It is great to look at her drawings over the years and see her improvement. The class does however, fill up at times, so you may not get into the very next class during a busy time. |
