Special things for a birthday girl

That's turning 28?

We have ressies at Mama Melrose and are thinking of getting a cake at dinner. That night we are also eating on the Fantasmic patio while watching the show. Any other suggestions of what to do on the trip?

We are planning on getting her a birthday button at the park on that day as well.

Re: Special things for a birthday girl

Hi! I was recently on the Disney.com website under dining and came across the "Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Lounge" at the Grand Floridian. This is available for lunch and the food is a la carte british cuisine (ie scones tea sandwiches and desserts). The cost is $15-35.99 per person. I got all of my information right of the Disney website. To find it, go to the Disney World website, and search for it directly by name.

I hope this helps! I'm 18 and I know that I would love to spend some quality time with my mom like that. Also, maybe book a special tour or excursion such as swimming with the dolphins in EPCOT or even snorkeling! It all depends on what your grown up princess likes to do!

Have a great trip and happy birthday to your daughter!

Maybe you could check out the Disney Florist. They have some neat gift ideas, and they'll also come and decorate your resort room for an extra surprise. Here's a link to their web site:

Hope you have fun in WDW - and hope your birthday celebration is a blast!

How about an Illuminations Cruise, I have always wanted to do that (I think we may go in November so maybe then). BTW what is Fantasmic patio ? Do you just mean the off to the side seating at the Fantasmic show reserved for those who had the dinner package or is there an actual patio??

I'm taking my dance team and this is actually one of my friends that's going along =)

We already have a Illuminations Dessert Buffet and private viewing area! I'm pumped about that.

The Fantasmic patio...Think about if you are sitting on the "50 yard line" of the Fantasmic show and look all the way behind you to the back of the house. There is a patio there that large groups can rent. We have a BBQ dinner for us that we eat before the show and then get to watch the show from there. It's AMAWESOME! They escort us there from over by Rockn Roller Coaster. We get to see behind ToT. I will ALWAYS do this with groups.

Thanks! Everyone has always loved the Fantasmic dinner! I only wish there was something you could do while watching Wishes!
