If you live near a base, contact your local MWR office. Even when their is not a "Salute to the Armed Forces" promotion, the military discount tickets are still less than ordering on-line and you do not have a sales tax on base.

My BF is in the Army and we just booked a vacation in August with him. He's getting 40% off rooms I believe. All I know for sure is that we got Beach Club for a little over $200 a night. Which is awesome!!

    Re: military?

Disney is running a special on tickets right now for active and retired military. Your fiance can get up to six 4-day tickets for $99 each. You can add park hopper and water parks and more for $26 each option. The tickets are available at MWR or Shades of Green. They have to be used by 9/30/10 and they can't be used on July 3 and 4. If you search "military" on the WDW site, you'll get all of the info.

    Have a great time!

    Re: military?

Disney's has a Military discount currently available through 09/30/2010. You get the room discount AND you can add the dining. You do not have to add tickets to these packages since you can get $99 Military park tickets.

    From Mouse Planet:

    Military discount

Active and retired U.S. Military personnel can save up to 40 percent on rooms at select Disney resorts for most nights through September 30. This discount must be booked by July 31. Reservations may be made by using code OUQ (room only), OUR (with Quick Service Dining Plan), OUS/OUT (with regular Dining Plan), or OUU (with Deluxe Dining Plan).
The number of rooms available at these rates is limited. To reserve a room with the Military discount, call the Walt Disney World Reservations phone line (407-939-7607) or contact a travel agent.
