Best Days of the week to go?
Okay guys (and Gals)
I need your help once again.
Trip is all booked and flights are all booked, now we are up to the ADR's
I'm starting my spead sheet for our trip so I know what days we'll be in which park, so I can book the Character Meals as well as dinner reservations.
So my question is which day of the week is it best to avoid a certain park?
I was told back a few years ago stay away from MK on Saturdays and Sundays because a lot of locals go at that time. But I could use some help.
we are going Wednesday to Wednesday, and 1 of the days we are going to Sea World. We were thinking Friday or Monday for Seaworld. And our only other day we have already down is Sunday, for some reason we always go and spend Sunday at Epcot, sort of our tradition..., any help? THANKS

Re: Best Days of the week to go?
You can certainly check the crowd calendar at touringplans.com, but the basic rule I have followed for years when selecting which day for which park is to check EMH. I avoid the park with morning EMH and pcik a park that had evening EMH the day prior. So, if MK has evening EMH on Friday, then I'll visit MK on Saturday. My thought proces is that most people will not visit the same park two days in a row and that on-property guests will take advantage of EMH. I know this method is not scientific, but it works.

this is true... i have also found that the park with EMH in the morning is the one to stay away from because people like to get in the parks early...

Re: Best Days of the week to go?
I avoid morning and evening EMH parks, but have found that evening EMH are more crowded than morning EMH. Parks do not have eveing EMH followed by morning EMH the next day. So, if you visit a park the day after evening EMH, you will avoid morning EMH and generally have a smaller crowd.

Re: Best Days of the week to go?
according to touringplans.com here is what you need to keep in mind when planning a day in a WDW park...
1.Avoid a park if it has Extra Magic Hour morning. Unless you are a resort guest with park hoppers, it is usually not worth it.
2.Avoid a park if it is hosting a Special Event or a Hard Ticket event. These include: Grad Nights, Gay Days, Star Wars Weekends, as well as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
3. Avoid the Magic Kingdom on Holidays. Other parks are almost always a better option.
4. Avoid a park in the after noon that has EMH at night.
if you let me know when you are going... i can let you know the parks to visit and avoid specifically when you go...

Thanks everyone, slowly coming together, our dates for visiting the parks are thurs 11/4 through Wednesday 11/10 (we usually hit Epcot on Sunday) and although we do have hoppers I don't want to figure them into the schedule, just use them when we feel like heading out later in the day.

Re: Best Days of the week to go?
So, what are the extra magic hours for the week? is it always the same day of the week or does it change from week to week. How can I find out what the magic hours are ahead of time.?

Re: Best Days of the week to go?
Umm touringplans.com wants $10.95 to tell me what days the magic hours are in what park, and I ain't paying that. Are you telling me that is the only place online that will give you what days the magic hours are. Their free listing only goes till September 10th, we are going in November, however, we need to make our ADR's right away, only I don't know what park we'll be in each day, if I don't have a schedule.
i always thought it was a set day of the week for each park>? A little help? anyone?
