Has anyone any experience of either the 6-8 hour Backstage Magic Tour or the Disney Keys Tour?
Before committing the $224 to the BMT I would appreciate speaking to someone with experience.
Many thanks

I did the BMT way back in 2000 and I think we paid $150 with an Amex discount. I guess it depends on what you're willing to pay to get to Backstage areas, the utilidor was the best part. We were served lunch at Mama Melrose's. Just like alot of things at WDW, the price is a little inflated.
Thanks - thats my worry I think $224 each is ALOT especially when you get to see the utilidors on the cheaper $74 keys tour...
Has anyone else been more recently?
Haven't done BMT, but Keys was just fine. At some point, it seemed people were getting a bit antsy after a few hours, so even a bit shorter of a tour would have been fine. But the price (while high) is still sort of worth it. Sort of. Seeing the water treatment area for Splash Mountain isn't exactly my idea of money well spent, but hey, to each his own. You get a little pin and lunch at Harbor House or whatever it's called (hope you like chicken fingers). If you get the right guide and actually interact with him/her rather than just follow like a lost sheep, you should enjoy it. I was actually able to rumor about the reason behind the disappearance of powdered hand soap at the Magic Kingdom, so one good thing came from it, at least.
I just did the keys tour on Jan. 6th and it was incredible. Our guide was perfect, he had the perfect personality for the job, and a huge plethora of knowledge. If you do decide to book it ask if you can take it with Michael. I saw a few other tour groups tooling around the parks and their tour guide didn't seem nearly as fun. Mike took us on POTC, JC, and HM. I have heard others only take you on HM.
He may no longer be working in the MK, he mentioned that next week if things work out that he will be looking at a promotion.
Haven't been on BTM, but KTK is very good, and worth the money. The best part was to walk around by myself in the MK before the park opened.
Thanks... me thinks Im steering more to the keys for the price and length so thanks :-) x
Thanks - i will see if I can find a discount for the KTK tour x
