How to have a Special Birthday in WDW
G'Day,
I'm an Australian traveling to the other side of the planet to visit WDW for three weeks in August. I'll be traveling alone, and will have my 54th Birthday during the stay.
What can I do to celebrate my birthday and make it special?
During the stay I have already booked Fantasmic Dinner package, Chef Mickeys, Epcot Segway tour, Wild Africa Trek, and the backstage Magic tour.
What would you suggest for my birthday?
Thanks

Re: How to have a Special Birthday in WDW
Good morning from the UK Magimike!
Three weeks in WDW sounds like a pretty good birthday present to me!
And it sounds like you've already got a few things planned for your trip!
I think my suggestion would be to make sure that everyone knows it's your birthday, make the most of it, you never know what you'll get in return. Pick up a birthday badge or birthday ears to wear in the parks, hopefully you'll get cast members wishing you a happy birthday all day long. If you're staying on property make sure your resort knows that it's your birthday during your stay and make sure it's noted on all of your dining reservations. I think that the best birthday treats will be the ones you didn't expect
Hope you have a truly magical trip xx

Now That's an idea. And I'm the type that would do it to.
Thanks.
Keep the suggestions coming.

Wow, you have pretty much hit on everything already. I think the Richard Petty Driving Experience would be a nice addition to your plans. Happy Birthday and have a great trip.

Re: How to have a Special Birthday in WDW
Just watched the Holiday Planning DVD again.
Is it possible to watch the Epcot fireworks from a boat? If so, how expensive is it?

Re: How to have a Special Birthday in WDW
I remember posting this already. Maybe this is the second thread on this topic? Anyway, be sure to get a Birthday button and wear it everywhere. At least then you'll have cast membes stopping you all over and wishing you a happy birthday.
Also, be sure to let them know when you make your reservation that you are celebrating. If you make any dining reservations, they may do a cake somewhere. Also, many times you will receive a small latex birthday balloon from your hotel (I got one from the Wilderness Lodge with the hotlel name, Mickey and a bear on it) and a color picture signed to me in silver ink by Mickey and Minnie. Corny and both can go right in the trash, but it's something to keep around while you're there (at least until the balloon deflates.
Happy birthday!
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

The holiday is going to be FANTASTIC! But I want the birthday to be something extra special.

Oh, well in that case, the super-hot weather combined with the extra-large late summer crowds and mega-long lines will all make the birthday memorable enough.
