Exclamation WDW Welcome Center & activating AP's

I just called the Official Disney Welcome Center off of I-75 (exit 350 about 1 1/2 hours North of WDW) because I wanted to find out if they activate AP vouchers and the answer was "YES"! I asked the CM if the AP's are printed on plastic or paper and his answer was "they are printed on a thin plexi-plastic material". Never being an AP holder before, I do not know if this is somewhere between paper & plastic or what. All I know is that this should help us being able to activate our AP's before we hit Disney property! If anybody has any questions or want to know their hours the phone number to the welcome center is 352-854-0770

The APs are still plastic coated paper no matter what it is called. I wish they were a more durable plastic.

On a side note, since we drive to WDW we always stop there to get a hit of WDW atmosphere (and the restrooms are spotless) to make the next 80 miles go so much faster. If you buy a Birmbaums you can redeem your coupon for a prize, usually a magnet or keychain, but one year we got a lighted MM yo-yo!!! Some years ago you could name the 7 dwarves and get a prize for the kids (I was about 50 at the time and they wouldn't give me one!!!)

that's cool ...wasn't sure ecactly where it was. Thanks for the info.
It's a Disney thing. If you understood, your only question would be "can I go?"

I don't know why Disney does the AP on regular tickets. The other park "which shall remain nameless" makes them like a credit card with your picture on it.
