Internet Access Whilst At WDW

To keep in touch with home and as a touring plans/facebook user I go through a lot of mbs when using the internet and being from the UK when I visit Disney my mobile phone provider charges £5 per day for internet use so over a 2/3 week vacation it gets expensive. So I have to pop in Starbucks for the free wifi or in my hotel room.

On our next visit we are staying at POR. During our last visit a cast member mentioned onsite guests can access free internet whilst in the parks - can anyone confirm this or advise a cheaper method of getting internet access?

I'm not sure about the parks but I've read that Disney are currently trialling free wifi in certain areas of certain resorts so I'm hoping that by the time we get out there next year something permanent will be in place

Last time we took a netbook and paid the daily charge in our resort.....although I agree with you, I really need internet access in the parks if I'm going to use Touring Plans etc

Then last week Disney released a convoluted statement again about WiFi and was picked up by MousePlanet that I posted also.

I just pray that this isn't the first step in having to plan each and every hour of your vacation in advance. Certainly would be worse than real life.
