    14 day international guest deals

    Hi everyone,

I am Australian & I keep hearing about a deal for Australians & New Zealanders for an extended stay at WDW. I've also heard of a deal for UK travellers, and I assume it must be a similar package. However, because this needs to be booked through a local travel agent I am having trouble finding out about the particulars of the deal. I just wanted to see if anyone here could shed some light on the deal (eg. stays of how long? what type of savings, what costs? any blackout dates? etc.) before I head into a travel agent here.

    Cheers!

Re: 14 day international guest deals

I'm from the UK and we've had some deals available for 2012 such as free Disney Dining Plan, free spending money, 14 day hopper for the price of 7 but I'm not sure that they are specific deals for 14 day breaks (except the hopper)...in most cases it's just that we tend to visit for 2 weeks....

When I booked my 2012 trip I was able to get the same deal through Walt Disney Travel or local travel agents

Thanks for the info pinkemma, if you don't mind me asking, did you book your holiday around free dining dates or was it offered due to the length of your stay? And the same for your other deals - were they a reward for the length of your stay, or promotions that happened to coincide with your holiday? I haven't been to WDW since I was a kid so this part of planning the trip is totally new to me!

The 2012 promotions were already running last year when I wanted to book. It looks like the free dining offer is still running for new UK bookings of 5 nights or more at WDW.

I've never heard of travel companies rewarding you for the length of your trip, it's usually just applying any promotions that apply to your booking....but then it may be different over there with you.

I know that if you book with a travel company in the UK they won't add any new promotions onto existing bookings...however if you book through a travel provider like MEI then they can (but they can't do the flights for us UK folks). I like the security of my package deal so always book direct with my travel company (and after getting snowed into the airport for 3 days in 2010 I was grateful for that!!).

The best advice I can give is to research...I love the planning part!!! If you want to PM me I'd be happy to send you some website links and answers to any specific questions
