Welcome back. The decorations should still be up by January 2-3, but will be coming down around the 7th.
Hi all,
Its been along time since I have been here. But I'm back and very excited
. I'm looking to book our third trip to WDW, so here's my question!!
I was originally thinking of December 7-14th of this year but I am back in school and classes don't end till December 17th. So I was then thinking Jan. 2or3-8or9, 2013.
The BIG questions are will the xmas stuff still be up after the new year and for how long? How will the crowds be?
Thanks for the help!
Loni
Welcome back. The decorations should still be up by January 2-3, but will be coming down around the 7th.
When we were there for Marathon weekend last year, around January 7-9, all of the decor at the hotels was gone, but they were still showing the special Christmas Memories, Magic, and More display on the Castle and the Osbourne Family lights were still on display. It was neat, but I still want to go back earlier and see the Christmas stuff in Epcot and the gingerbread houses at the Grand Floridian....

Yep.
As for the crowds, they will still be pretty big that week as kids are still out of school until the 2nd week or so of January. They'll be worse the 2nd-3rd than the 8th-9th, but still pretty high either way. Expect long lines for attractions, but you'll still have Christmas merch to buy, I'd assume.
