This is ridiculous. I can understand keeping the CA version of Soarin' for the first year, maybe even the second. But come on, it's been in Florida for how long? It's beyond time for Soarin' over Florida in HD. It can't take that long to film it, write the program and install the dumb thing.

I'm wondering how much longer the free dining promotion will last. Truthfully it seems to have been around for much longer than I would have expected. When crowd levels were down, then it made sense to lure people back. Today, crowd level are up, so why the incentive? Especially at value resorts.

Really Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

Supernova... Because it gives the masses the impression they are getting a great deal when really they're only getting a small savings. People want to buy into something that is a savings from the listed price. Just look at how many buy into the Dining Plan when it's not Free Dining! Discounts will never go away and more importantly, the word FREE will never go away since people love "free" things.

I agree somewhat. The DDP can be a GREAT value if you use take full advantage of it's benefits. If you enjoy character meals or sit down restaurants like 'Ohana and you want to hit a variety of them on your trip you should consider the dining plan. But you also have to be aware of it's restrictions. You essentially HAVE to pre plan your meals. You aren't going to be able to walk up to most sit down places at WDW any more and get a seat unless you are willing to stand by the hostess station to wait for a cancellation. I don't have that time and my daughters love character meals. They are a huge part of their Disney experience. It is to the point that you have to plan your park visits around your dining reservations.

And Disney does prefer guests to eat at buffets. The food is overall cheaper for them to generate. A steak at Kona far less profit for Disney.

I agree with the break in touring the parks to commit to dining, I don't care for that. But my real draw back is I don't snack on the good stuff like I use to because I am too full from meals. I miss that.
