Least crowded time AFTER New Years

Ok, my mom refuses to go before New Years and a friend of mine suggested New Years but I said no considering the crowds.

What is the next soonest time we can go with smaller crowds?

I once went on or around the 2nd week of January. I believe it was before MLK weekend and it was pretty darn quiet! I think February is a good month too.

I can't remember what site I read this on, but I have read that the parks are practically empty as soon as New Year's Day is over. I am thinking about testing that theory in 2008.

That's not a bad idea. I'm thinking of switching my plans to the same thing.

I've been twice in Jan. The first was like the 7th or 8th and it was virtually empty on a weekday. The next time was the 2nd or 3rd full week in Jan. It was not crowded at all, a little chilly, but not too bad! I loved it!

I always go on my birthday (january 18th) and it is so empty - You can go on any ride many times over with little or no line (we once actually stayed on splash 3 times in a row). It can be a little chilly that time of year (bring a heavy jacket). It must be said that skipping down mainstreet is the BEST way to warm up!
    Have fun!

I think just about anytime kids are in school, its a good time to go. THe crowds start picking up again in March as spring break starts to kick in...January, February are probably both GREAT times to go....but do be prepared for both colder and warmer weather...it can vary greatly!
I DID IT!! I finished the ToT 13K! It was actually harder than I ever imagined to be honest. BUT I just kept moving, just keep moving...(could barely move AFTER the race, lol)

Next trip: ???? I almost always have one on the horizon, but given the economy...who knows when I'll get back after this trip!!
