I'm not sure about Disney but there's a similar situation with Star Wars Galaxies and Lucasfilm/Sony. When Galaxies shut down Sony deleted all of the files from the game and a few computer fellows got together and decided to recreate the original version. Apparently they got permission to rebuild everything as long as they could do it from scratch and agree to not make a profit from the game. So far they have rebuilt the game and are currently testing the servers. Maybe that's what will happen with VMK

it says now The game now uses WebSockets, a relatively new client<>sever communication technology. Some modern browsers support these new technologies, but for complete support, we recommend Google Chrome. do i need Google Chrome to play this?

I would say it's the prefered browser. A lot of folks think Chrome is superior to IE. So I assume this VMK thing you are talking about is an emulator of some sort?

I'd say the only people who don't know that Chrome is far superior to IE are those IE users who have never used Chrome.

Actually, I can't think of a worse browser than IE. Even that bloated mess called Firefox is better.

i looked up the law of copyright. this is what it says. Once the term of a copyright has expired, the formerly copyrighted work enters the public domain and may be freely used or exploited by anyone.

IE is easily the worst browser. I'm an Opera fan myself.

I used Opera for years before Chrome came out. To be perfectly honest, it's really a toss up between the two. but, for some reason I just kept using Chrome after taking it for a test drive.

They're both stripped down and very fast. They would be my top two browsers, and Firefox and IE would be the bottom two.

My only issue with Chrome is the amount of personal information it stores. Google feels a little bit like creepy big brother.
