    Dictionary Work-Arounds

Have you been trying to chat in VMK, but find the dictionary is missing the words you need? Found a substitute word or phrase to compensate? Submitted a word for approval? Let's post them here, so we can all speak the same VMK language!

For starters, there are no words like daughter, husband, mother, father, dad, mom, etc. which made it fun to introduce my DH and DD.

Husband (or wife): my other half, my better half
    daughter: my girl kid
    son: my boy kid

could use a good idea for Dad or Mom!

Numbers, we've all been coming up with new ones:
win (or I), to, tree, for, hive .....

What else have you all come up with????????

I actually put in a request to have a word added to the dictionary. So if you feel strongly about a word or words, try requesting them. I haven't heard back yet, and the word is still verboten. We cannot ust the word villain, but can use the word villian. Please note the incorrect spelling is permissable.

    That's pretty funny - a dictionary that can't spell

Many (if not all) of the names that people have chosen are in the dictionary, but you have to type them exactly like they did.

I just think that it's odd that the automated characters in the rooms can use words that aren't allowed. (Pirate, Fortune Teller, Yeti, Dragon, Ned)

I think these are the words that I figured out for the numbers: Hen, fine, ate, heaven, sticks, hive, for, tree, too, won!

Today I noticed that some of my words have disappeared from the approved dictionary, and I received the following notice from the staff:

Just think that it's odd that they're removing words from the dictionary, but not adding any harmless ones.

If you're looking for DWT people, try Walt Disney World Book or Disney World Question Book!
Trivia isn't currently in the dictionary, but hopefully TriviaBook will be soon (thanks to April!)

    Attention! Attention!

    Good News For VMK Players!

The word TriviaBook has been added to the dictionary! You can now add TriviaBook to your sigs, room names and album pics! The only catch is you HAVE to write it TriviaBook. Upper T, upper B and all one word.

So now we can call ourselves:

    WDW TriviaBook site members!
    or
    Walt Disney World TriviaBook fans!

    VMK just got more fun!
