Another reporter that gets slugged is Ranch Wilder in the remake of the fictional
tale Angels in the Outfield. Ranch, played by Jay O. Sanders, continually harasses the
losing Angels ball club and manager George Knox, played by Danny Glover. Knox hits
Wilder during a heated interview. Wilder is arrogant and impatient and eventually gets
fired.
