I just wanted to post and say how EXCITED I am about having just purchased my D23 Expo 2011 tickets! I considered going last year but decided not to and regretted it AS SOON as I read about the awesome events.
Who else bought their tickets and is as excited about next August as me!? :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

I see that you already booked your hotel for the Expo. Do you have any recommendations? Is the Expo at Disneyland? We're staying really close to Disneyland for Destination D but I'm not real sure where we should stay for the Expo. Any advice would be very welcome! :)
Hi! The expo is being held just outside of Disneyland Resort property at the Anaheim Convention Center. It's all within walking distance but I think I remember reading somewhere that Disney are laying on shuttle buses from the Disney resort hotels to the Convention Center for extra convenience. We can't afford to stay in one of the Disney hotels though, as we're hanging around for just over a week (planning on doing some other stuff whilst we're there) so have opted for one of the budget good-neighbour hotels. The one we've picked (Quality Inn) is about a 15 minute walk from Disneyland, so would probably add another 5/10 minutes on to that for the Convention Center. Either that, or it's just a short drive if you want to get a taxi/use your car.Quote:

The Anaheim Resort Transport (ART) also will do transport to the convention center and Disney. A day pass is $4 and there are longer length passes available. I have used ART quite often to get to the parks and it works well.
IMHO at DL it's not as critical to be at a "Disney" hotel and in this case there are probably several hotels closer to the convention center.
Yep, we found a Holiday Inn across the street from the convention center which is, coincidentally, where we are staying for Destination D.
