D23 - sneak peek at Disney Store in Times Square

I tried to get tickets yesterday for the d23 sneak peek event at the new disney store - the link wasn't posted and then it said tickets were sold out - I called d23 (disneystore) to ask what was the issue because the link wasn't posted to buy tickets - a manager was put on the phone to explain that they don't know what happened with the ticket sales but they were seeing what I saw that the posting said that tickets were sold out even though they didn't see any tickets sold - I thought it was very strange.

Passed the store today - looks like it will be a fun place to go for a disney fix when it opens

So disappointed - went to the disney times square store today thinking it would be like the "world of disney" store that used be on 5th ave - the times square store has lots of NYC disney items and typical disney store items but does not have any disney park merchandise that used to be available at the other store (clothes, pins, art gallery). Per a few of the the cast members who used to work at the 5th ave store who now work at the times square store, the 5th ave store was owned and operated by the Disney Parks, this one is not. They said preferred the old store better due to the exclusive items
