I got into the program!!!!!

I'm not in the program yet, but this is how I see this opportunity.

You get to move away from home, and basically start a new little life for a few months without that many risks, you'll already have a house with everything you need, and a job to keep it.

There is also the fact that you are not only learning by lectures from people who have been working at the same position for years, but also the incredible hands on experiences you may have never learned had you not gone.

There is also the chance to network. You are going to be in this with a bunch of other people, all over the country, and the world. At one point in life long after this program you guys may prove to have an advantage to having met them (i.e. What if they became president or so of a big company?).

Not only that, but I know myself when I went to Disney World as a tourist that there just weren't enough hours in the day to explore every nook and cranny of the parks. Nor was I able to go expirience Orlando.

I'm sorry I just realized I was positive ranting. :o

To wrap it up, I think you were granted this amazing opportunity for a reason. It is human nature to question and reconsider things, but I really think you should throw caution to the wind and just go for it!

How did you manage a September start date instead of mid-August?

I just had my presentation yesterday. I was the first to arrive, and the first to interveiw with the presenter. I had my cover letter and my resume, and I think I dressed pretty well. I hope I get in! These next 2-3 weeks are going to be killer!

They can have Sept dates too. I have seen the dates run from early Aug to early Sept.

So did you pick September or did they change the program from Mid-August to September. It starts almost 3 weeks later than my CP'ers did and goes a week longer in January than his. He had to be back in school Jan 4th and the release date for his was Jan. 3rd.

There has always been Sept dates to choose from. When I did FA 2006, there were a couple of check-in dates in Sept.

And when the paperwork came for my son for fall it was May, July or 3 dates in August. They all left Jan. 3rd. Bet that was a sight to be seen.

It's not that bad. People have til 11am to move out. Also, some people leave a day or 2 early (especially if they have the days off).
