Fall Advantage of '09?!

Has anyone taken any of the collegiate courses offered through Disney? I am going to be taking the HR management one and 4 hour class periods seem like a really really long time to be sitting still.

I took Hospitality Management my first CP (in 2005). The class usually was 4 hours long (though once in awhile, it ended a little early). We did get breaks though. It wasn't too bad.

While reading through all of the old posts, I keep seeing a recurrence of "extending your program". What does this entail? And what does it mean with the "seasonal program"? Thanks

Extending the CP means you will be on the CP for an aditional semester. Take being on Fall 2009, for example. The CP runs Aug-Jan. If you extend it, you would then be in FL til Aug of 2010. So you are on the CP for just under a year.

As for being seasonal, this means you only have to work a certain amount of hours in a year to stay statused at Disney (and keep on being able to work). The amount of hours varies by role.

According to my Campus Rep. Advisor, For those of you who are wanting to apply for the CP for the Fall of 2009. Applications will be available online starting January 20 for Walt Disney World and Feb. 2 for DisneyLand.

The application for the program in Disney World is completely paperless, but not the one in California.

Once again, to apply for Disney World, applications will be available online starting Jan. 20 and will not have to be printed, including the role checklist

Disney Land starting Feb. 2 and will have to be printed.

I checked this morning and I still can't get to the campus presentation schedule. I plan on doing the online presentation anyway but I would also like to attend another campus presentation. Is there something I am missing?

The website has not been updated yet. It hopefully will be updated with the Fall info soon.

So, while we wait "patiently" in the calm before the storm, what is everyone planning on applyling for? I plan on applying for Mechandise, Full-Service Food and Beverage, and Character Attendant.

Is anyone else having trouble finding the At which school will you attend the Disney College Program recruiting presentation? (if you have viewed the online presentation select E-Presentation.) I watched the online one but i can't find it. HELP

Yeah, the E-Presentation button was not listed. I just put down a school (even though I'm doing the online presentation). And tomorrow I'm going to explain about the issue. If they want me to re-do it, I will.
