Early May huh, I may run into some of you. I'm putting in for the Summer Alumni program(May 18-August 14). Then a matter of three days I am going on a vacation to Walt Disney World. I realized that while being a college rep is fun, it does not hold the candle to being in, working in and living in the World.

That is so true. I'm hoping to be a part of the Summer Alumni program as well. I want my old role back in Tomorrowland Attractions. I'm a campus rep. as well, but it still isn't the same as working in the parks.

I agree. Being a campus rep is fun (wow, I can't believe this is my last semester as a rep ). But nothing beats actually being and working on Disney property. I hope I get accepted for Fall 09. I want to go back so bad.

Sooo, this hurry up and wait thing is killing me. For first timers, is going to the actual presentation better than doing the e-presentation? If I do the e-presentation will I find out faster? And if I go to the regular presentation, should I dress up? I was thinking business casual would go over well.

In my opinion, the online presentation and the school presentation are very similar (and you can get accepted both ways). The only major difference is that the school presentations have the recruiter and campus reps there.

Now, if the school presentation is not for awhile, I recommend doing the online presentation. If you do go to the school presentation, I would definitely go with business casual dress.

Are the interviews in the school presentation done face to face or does one sign up for a telephone interview there? Been reading more about the program and I am getting confused. Oh, and if a person does not make the WDWCP can they apply for the professional interns during the same semester?

For the most part now, all interviews are done over the phone (even if you attend a school presentation). For the rare school that still does live interviews, they would take place after the presentation ends.

I believe so (most PIs require having done the CP first though).

Im planning on doing the Disney College program this fall of 09 also! I was looking on the website that we could start in June instead of August. . . but ive been reading into this so much i might just be imagining it. Anyway, i think im going to wait for the presentation at my college in early Feb, i think that still should be early enough? Unless one of you thinks that i should apply online. Im just nervous, because this will be my first time applying, and i already have my hopes up. I dont want to be dissapointed, so i am trying to be really proactive! Im really excited i found this site, because its nice to talk to some people that are in the same situation i am! Hope to hear from you all soon. Have a good one.

Early Feb. will definitely be early enough. My college's presentation isn't until Late March. You should apply online and unless you are going to apply for the Program in DisneyLand, you do NOT have to print the application and take it to the presentation with you. After the presentation, you will have to schedule your phone interview, but you get to choose the day and time that works best for you. But go ahead and apply, then that will be one less thing that you will have to do. Then enjoy the presentation and best of luck on the interview.
