OMG. so my dad gets home today and says i have two pieces of mail. one of them from the disney college program.....in a STANDARD sized envelope!!! i nearly died. so he makes me open it me already feeling like im gonna cry....and it turns out it was just a letter saying that they're currently processing my application and at this time my statis is pending a final decision! omg...gimme a heart attack why don't you!!! lol. but there was SOME disapointing news attatched to this letter. it says that i will be contacted with an update on the status of my app by APRIL 17!!! nooooooooooooo!!! thats 57 DAYSSS!!! 8 WEEKSSS!!! jeeez.

i hope it doesn't actually take THAT long. the absolute longest i was expecting was 6 weeks!

but anyway. does the fact that they said that my satis is pending a final decision a good thing? like there's only one more step till im approved or something??
or is that just what they say to everyone??

I think my came about a week after......maybe sooner (I rarely ever checked my dorm mail but eight days after my interview I just happened to check my mail and it was there)

I waited about a little over 2 weeks just over two years ago for my first program. This time for the Summer Program it took me almost 4 weeks to process due to the amount of people putting their applications in.

I really hope somebody is able to answer your question, Megs! I am going to check my mailbox on my way out the door this afternoon . . . not that anything will be in it! (This is day 8 after the interview.)

I am curious to know if others received the same letter. I would also like to know what day everybody interviewed and the day they received their letter . . . so that I can *try* to get an idea of when I'll hear from them!

Yes. Others have received pending letters too.

For me, I interviewed Jan 26th, and got my letter Feb 23 (exactly 4 weeks later).

I interviewed Feb 16th and got my letter on Feb 27th. Hope it helps, and good luck with the pending letter.

ok, so you say others have recieved a pending letter as well? but not everyone gets it?

any idea why some get it and some dont?

and for any of the people you know who got it, how many of them got accepted?

im just trying to decipher whether or not its a positive or negative thing.

or if its niether, maybe just according to which interviewer we get or something.

That is correct. I know others who have received a pending letter as well (but not everyone. Some receive acceptance letters, and others are rejected).

I don't know why, unfortunately. People who are auditioning receive one. As for those who aren't, it could have to do with a restricted-rehire status. Or they may be trying to see which role is best for some people. Or it could be something else.

I interviewed on February 20th and I received my big, white envelope in the mail today, February 28th! 8 days!

I am going to be a Hospitality Cast Member, which is exactly what I wanted! I am majoring in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management and graduating in August, and have wanted to work within the Walt Disney World Resorts since I started my major! The program is my "foot in the door" to see if Walt Disney World fits for my future!

Thank you. I got merchandise and I am pretty sure it will be a park and most likely than not Animal Kingdom. I know I didn't put that as a possible location for me. I am actually ready getting my stuff ready already from bedsheets to socks. I am really excited to work back in the parks again. It felt so weird going on vacation and not working the next day the last time I went to Disney World.

eeek! I interviewed Feb. 19th...hope mine makes its way soon, one way or another.
