Just curious.... Are there anybody people with hearing loss here at forum?

I am just asking if there are any people here that have some kind of hearing loss. It can be any in range from profundly deaf to mild hard of hearing. I just want to seek their experiences and tips, even if they join WDWCP this Fall advantage 2009. This is just to see if can meet more people. Even, to whoever have siblings or relatives or know the friends that have hearing loss also are welcome too

I am hope to meet more people this way and it is nice to get know people before I head over to Orlando, Fla in June

so please feel free to discuss or introducting urself.

I will introducting myself now, I was raised in Hearing family with two hearing siblings and one deaf brother. My brother and I have Usher's Syndrome that linked to gene disorder that degeneratizing our vision and hearing. However, I have cochlear implant and i dont really have best skill with my cochlear implant. However, I am going to graduate from Gallaudet University soon and hopefully, one of my friends would join me to work for Disney to gain the wonderful experience!!!

I wear hearing aides and so does my mom and brother. We are all in the mild to profound range. We can hear it's just hard for us to catch what people are saying if they are whispering and stuff like that. My mom and I can lip read really well. I hope to join the WDWCP very soon.

Hi Nice to meeting you! Do you ever work for disney before? I am from illinois myself and i am midwest girl and i dont know if i even can handle scorching weather this summer so i hope i can handle it pretty well haha

you hope to join wdwcp soon like when? this summer or this fall? just wondering? hope to hear from you soon!

I have not worked for Disney before. (It's my dream!) I am a senior in high school and I graduate real soon. I think I have to be a sophmore before I can enroll in the WDWCP. I hope I can handle the weather too!

You just have to be 18+, and have completed 1 semester in school.

Actually also, they do have career start program for seniors in high school also. so jsut google it and you would able to find the website. I dont think its too late to apply now. so go for it!

Actually, they didn't officially offer the CS this semester. And after having no CS last semester either (the Spring 2009 CS was canceled last minute), it will be interesting to see if they have it for Spring 2010.

well, i agree with you , joanna. it will be interesting if they ever will offer CS 2010. If they wont then they should just take down the website that is floating around on the internet

Perhaps, but I think it also has to do with so many CPs being accepted (and also extending from the previous program).
