Fall 2011 WDWCP waiting for the letter!

Applied last Monday, was a strong candidate, got a phone interview last Thursday, and am now waiting for my answer!

I work at Six Flags and I think that helps, Im used to everything entertaining, Ive been in Entertainment for 3 years. Started as a Looney Tune (costume character). And now Am an Explorer Guide! I basically am the person on the microphone talking to guests about animals. So I have microphone experience! I love being around people and I love the theme park atmosphere! I told my interview that. Gosh I hope I get it! I really want it!

Anyone else just do their interview, have done the CP and can tell me how their interview went, or are doing the Fall 2011 program? Id appreciate it!

I checked all the roles except Character, Character Attendant, and Custodial. My top choices were Hospitality, Housekeeping, and Merchandise. My interview was much easier than I thought it would be, really relaxed. I think it went really well! Hopefully that will be proven true w/ a purple folder in my mailbox soon How about you? What were your top choices and how did your interview go?

I was strongly considering auditioning to be a character (I mean I was a character for 2 years...LOVED IT). But I decided not to, the competition is really fierce for Disney and I wana do something else. My top choice was "Character Attendant" Ive been doing that for 2 years too :P and I love it cause I still get to interact with guests. Second choice was Attractions, I heard great things about it, Third was photography Im great with cameras.

My interviewer asked me if Id also like to do Merchendise and FSFB. I said sure!! =]

I was friendly and happy on the phone, answering politely and I gave her a run-through of what I do at Six Flags, I have WOWed guests lol and satisfied them I told her a story of how I got people to be picked as volunteers for the whale show and it was their first time in California and I made their day and they were very thankful for it. I only had an 18 minute interview and I feel like I wasnt excited enough I just told her I feel like I could do great for Disney and it seems like a great experience where I can meet new people and work in a great environment. She didnt seem mad or upset or anything she said thinks like "Okay!!!" with an excited voice. I think I did okay but I dont wana be too cocky lol. Im really excited and kinda hope Im one of those people who gets my packet super early. (if I get it).

I have a few friends from Six Flags who have done the CP....I think theme park experience helps

Keep us posted on what happens...and in the future what it's like if/when you do the CP...as a freshman in college I'm looking to possibly do it in the future...but I think I'm be leaning more towards doing the Internship program over the CP just because I'm a Political Science major, and I think the research aspect of doing the Internship (i.e. working in an office over just working in the park) would be a great resume booster for a PS major...but at that anything with the name Disney attached to it definitely is a huge plus

Character attendant (the job I wanted)!!! I just gotta pay the stupid fee, and Ill be on my way, gonna see if my parents can front me the money Ill pay em back this summer
