Thank you both. I hate being in this limbo period where they're waiting on my paperwork to get there from Florida. I just called back to no avail. They said to expect a check-in call sometime this week.

Pup was very happy to have me home. We've become best buddies again now that I am home more often. That being said, he sure does have me wrapped around his little paw, lol. He just turned 7! Oh man, how times flies.

About the DisStore perks, I was a little disappointed that there's not really any park benefits. I mean, she said after you work for the company for awhile, you start to get tickets to the theme parks once or twice a year, which is fantastic! However, I guess I just miss being able to use my handy little Disney I.D. to get in virtually anytime I wanted just to explore. *sigh* I still am trying to decide if moving to FL next year is something I should seriously consider or if it's just a nostalgic factor pulling me back there.

I've been reading everyone's posts about moving to FL and those are really great. It's wonderful to hear about all of the magic and fun things that have happened.

The TDS discounts and benefits aren't that bad actually (although, I know they don't compare to actual WDW CM bennies ) We do get those passes every 6months with a 2-year expiration window, but you can always trade with other TDS CM's as you wish if they can't get down before theirs expire. And I got some REALLY deep discounts on the dining plan and resort rates for my family's upcoming trip this July. Those really made it all possible.

I agree. I purchased two Vinyls at Cast Connection and while I think they are absolutely adorable, I feel like I'm more of a pin person. Besides, all of the Vinyls I really want are the ones that are wayyyyy too expensive for me. Like, the Maleficent collector one that was, like, $700.00 on DisneyStore.com. Holy moley!

They're fun to sit up on a shelf and what-not, but pin trading is just a lot more fun for me.

Little update on the Disney Store job: Apparently there's been a bunch of rearranging and new hires within the district, and that is why they're saying my hiring process is taking longer than normal. The manager keeps saying nothing but, she's "Hopeful I"ll hear soon" which is getting discouraging after nearly 5 weeks of waiting. She said to give it until the 17th to call again for updates. Unfortunately, I can't justify being unemployed for 6 weeks so if I don't hear back, I'm just going to have to go somewhere else, which I'd really rather not do.
