I have a good friend that I went to school with who plays Maleficent at the MK. She also has a part in the Lion King show at AK.

Did Typhoon Lagoon on Friday. Lots of fun. Weather was nice and though the actual Lagoon (wave pool) was broken for a good chunk of the afternoon, there were virtually no lines so we rode some of the slides and did attractions more than once. It was nice.

Going to Epcot in the morning to FINALLY take my ASL test for my nametag pin, then to Epcot as a guest on Wednesday. :)

Next week (20th-22nd) I'll be going to HS, Epcot, and DAK with my BF. He's not been to WDW since he was 8 and didn't even get to do much while he was there so we're making his trip as jam-packed as possible. He's coming back in November and then January to help me move out, so we have time. :grin:

Alright, time to get ready to go back to the Quest.

Aww! I was up in gangster that night (so I wouldn't have been out and around). Next time you stop by, you can ask to get on my vehicle. That way we can be sure to meet up (or "meet", if I'm in gangster/bandit).

That is so COOL! She has my dream job! lol

I wanted to try and be Maleficent for Halloween but my paychecks say otherwise. What should I be? We're having a Disney Quest party and I want to dress up for the night I do Mickey's Not-So-Scary. (So, maybe two costumes?) Any suggestions?

Hmmm....A good Halloween character would be the evil stepmother from Cinderella or maybe Cruella DeVille. Malefecent would be cool too. Oh, what about the Evil Queen from Snow White?

My little girl said Mary Poppins would be good. lol!

Unfortuantely, we as cast members are not allowed to dress as Disney characters in the parks to avoid any potential confusion or misleading of the children. I might be able to get away with it at out Disney Quest party, but not in the parks.

So come dressed as Betty Boop, a Universal Character at Disney shouldn't confuse the little darl'ns.

Owe, owe owe....Marilyn Monroe, then you can wear that cute flippy skirt, another Universal fav.

I don't think that's true. I know lots of CMs who went as Disney characters to the parties

Update!

So, roommate problem has been taken care of, though she's trying to say we all attacked her when all we did was politely ask if she would move from the couch so we could all watch a movie. Turns out she has some emotional/mental issues she never disclosed and she went off on this tirade that scared all of us. So, she's packing right now and moving somewhere else. With as much trouble as she's been, I'm honestly glad to see her go.


OMG! So, last night Joey Fatone came to Disney Quest with his daughter, nephew, and brother.

Joey from N*SYNC!!!! :yahoo: I totally had an inner fangirl moment. He was super nice and the whole family was really excited to ride. (I was working Pirates at the time) so we all talked in Pirate together and they laughed and had a great time. What a great family.

Definitely the highlight of the week considering things at work & home have been not so great. But I'm getting ready to work for 2 days then have Tues-Thurs off while my boyfriend is here and we get to go play in the parks. :)

Alright, off to get ready to head back to the Quest. :)

Wow! So sorry that is happening to you. Feel bad for the next group that gets her too. Maybe they should put her in a one bedroom, without a roomie.

I feel like a 1 bedroom is what she needs, but they said those are hard to come by and only used in very special circumstances.

On another note, someone turned the thermostat down to 50 last night so I woke up FREEZING! I turned it back up but it doesn't seem to want to turn off! Yikes!

BF is flying in in 36 hours. :) I'm so excited!

As long as you don't take pictures/sign autographs (basically, almost pretending to be that character), you would be fine. The same goes for non-CM guests too.

The thing is, even 1 bedrooms have 2 people in it. There are no apartments (or bedrooms) with just 1 person.

Got a fun-filled few days ahead with my bf flying in at 10 tonight.

Tomorrow is Hollywood Studios, Wednesday is Universal (Wizarding World, whoohoo!) and then we're gonna try to do Animal and Epcot on Thursday before I have to take him back to the airport early Friday and I have to go back to work. :no: Already feeling like it's going to pass too quickly!
