What is the WDWCP?

I believe
I believe in believing - until my very last minute of truth , I don't give up . even when it will be hard to see it through
I will go on
I will go on , no matter what , still dedicated all the way through
I'll live my dreams the same way I do my life , by taking one step at a time
The WDWCP is the Walt Disney World College Program. It is a paying internship between Disney World and colleges/universities. You can find more information on the CP at www.wdwcollegeprogram.com- that is the main website for the CP.Originally Posted by shadesofgreen96

is there a specific height for the princes and other characters that don't wear the big costumes?

Mark
Yes. There is a specific height range for all the face characters.

I'm a former WDWCP alum from 1997 and it was one of the best things that I have ever done. Wish you could have applied for characters during those days, but I did stay at Disney after the program and auditioned for and was accepted for characters.
If you're a Disney fan and in college, there's just no better internship opportunity, no matter what role you're cast in. I was lucky enough to be given a tour guide position at the Great Movie Ride, while most of my other roommates worked in merchandising and food service. They had a fabulous time, too, though.
It was hard to be accepted back in my day, but maybe it's easier nowadays. If you want an excellent reference on your resume that it guaranteed to spark a fun discussion during other job interviews, or if you just want a career with the Disney company, by all means, be sure to apply!
i wanna be a cm!!!

Hello!!! well I just did my College program in the Spring 06!...It has honestly been the best experience of my life!...
How hard is it to get into the program? its actually pretty easy to get in the program. just make sure to go to the presentation and do well on the interview and thats all...and now the interviews are mostly done through the phone which makes it easy to deal with the nerves since theres no one to see you
What position did you end up working and did you enjoy it? I worked @ Magik Kingdom in Main St Operations!...Working on Main st is awesome because Main St ops doesn't mean you have to do the same boring job all the time...you get to do atleast 2 different things...I did Parade Control which is always fun & crazy as well as being a conductor on the W.D.W.R.R....and I loved it..I met sooooo many great people ..so great that I am still a seasonal cast member and have gone back almost every month since my program ended. I'm actually going back in 3 days!
What were some of your most memorable moments working at WDW? There are so many memorable moments....acting like a dork with my roommates, dealing with some very memorable guests, walking the tracks with my fellow conductors and taking pictures, just sooooo many memories...
so I definitely recommend the program, its a life changing experience....and if you go always thing positive because there are a lot of hours to work and a little paycheck but think of the bigger picture...how many people get to move away from home..meet people from all over there world and work at the happiest place on Earth!
if you have any other questions feel free to aim me.. LiLpatty19
I am getting so excited reading all these post, I plan on doing the Program next year. Can anyone go into a little deeper about what the interview is like? And also, I would love to be a character, but im around 6'4. And, im to understand that is Goofy height!?!??!? If so, that is very awesome. But, im worrying that im a bit too tall. Either way, whatever job I get Im sure ill have a blast.
Thanks
