It's official:

Coming Summer 2007-Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros

"At Epcot's Mexico Pavillion, "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros" debuts (replacing "El Rio Del Tiempo") with a new storyline and film featuring Donald Duck, Jose Carioza (the parrot), and Panchito (the Mexican charro rooster) from the 1944 Disney film "The Three Caballeros."

The "Gran Fiesta Tour" film features an animated overlay of the caballeros being reunited for a grand performance in Mexico City. Along the way, Donald disappears to take in the sights of the country, leaving Jose and Panchito to search for their missing friend.

In addition to the new film, the boat ride's props, set facades and sound system have been refurbished and enhanced."

That sounds cool. We always ride El Rio Del Tiempo but only because we feel like we should. This is a change for the better!

It was down when I was there, I was upset since I have never been on it. I wish I could have went on it before it changed, I like to see the differences in the rides.

I have no objections to it changing, just thought the choice of plot to be funny.

Name change does not bother me, but I am somewhat disappointed.

Like I said earlier, I do enjoy this ride. I go on it every trip to Epcot, but I'm not that torn up about it being changed. Just out of curiousity, for those of you that are upset about the change, what is it that you love about this attraction so much that it pains you to hear of the change?

I can not wait for this new version. El Rio De Tiempo was not that great. I got off that ride scratching my head and wondering what just happened.
