Hmmm...can I survive on $9.36 an hour?![]()
That's just starting salary. Most of my friends got a raise after 2 months... so hopefully Disney's generous with their raises!

I would be a great photopass photographer.
Our lease is up this month and I had my dear wife convinced that we would move to the Orlando area so I could pursue my dream of working at WDW and/or the Walt Disney Company. I actually have an "in" at the DVC Sales Center to work there. Alas, due to other family obligations, we have to stay in this area. So, signed another year lease. So, there's always next year.
I would LOVE to go... I just have to get my diploma first. Oh Fiddlesticks.

i got that email!...i almost passed out in the middle of the computer lab at school when i read it! lol...too bad i live in canada and can't gogo figure
lol
Honestly, the $9.36 (and as far as I know, Photopass and Bus Drivers are the only *hourly* ones starting out that high...though if you've got some major background, you can start at the Reservations Center around there or higher).......is pretty good for WDW. All of the other hourly roles (food & beverage, operations/attractions, merchandising, etc etc) start at $7/hr. Character performers start at $7.60.
And like another person said- these are *starting salaries* too... but yeah, most people don't work for WDW for the money- they do it because they want to. Me for instance- I put off applying for WDW for so long, because I needed more money than they were willing to pay. Now that I can deal with that low of a pay, my first choice is definitely WDW. Can I find another $7/hr part time job?? Oh, probably about 20 today! But I *want* WDW![]()
And just as an FYI....you can pop into the Casting Center out here any week day and apply (and find out what is available and how much they are paying), for those of you who might be passing through but can't make it to the job fair or something.
