From Intercot.com:
During "The Happiest Celebration on Earth," Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom will become a celebration of Disney magic around the world. Graceful gold filigree will adorn its turrets. Banners, ribbons and tapestries will breeze from balconies.
Incredible golden Disney icons will sparkle across the castle -- Cinderella's glass slipper, Beast's enchanted rose. Golden images of Peter Pan and his friends will fly carefree in the sky high on the tallest spire. There will be a delightful Disney surprise from every angle. And in the middle of it all, a magical palate of ever-changing stained glass above the castle's great archway will shine with a breathtaking view of the five Disney castles from around the world.*

I actually like this design better than the cake...although the cake was cool! I can't wait to see this one, it looks awesome!

They have some of the gold ribboning up on the Castle now, on one of the turrets, and it does look nice (a bit subtle, and glorious in the sunshine). Though the gold figurines seem a little overkill....
I hope I get to see it! When will it be done?

I agree Sam...I love the ribbons, not sure about the figures.
Also, I wonder how the desided on which figures to use. Did they go to a store room and pull left over figures from of parades and shows and paint them gold? Because HBOND would not have been my first choice to fill the space.

From the pics it looks pretty cool, but will reserve final judgment until I see it in person, hopefully in November. I imagine the Florida sun and rain will take its toll over 18 months. If I had my way I would leave well enough alone.![]()
P.S. I hated the Castake, it was a mistake, even though I never saw it.

Hunchback of notre dame, sorry it should have been HOND.
Does any one know why they chose May 5 2005 to kick off the celebration?
I think I do
since a lot of us use this style, MM/DD/YY , for dates. Enter in 05/05/05, now read it backwards (50/50/50) !
So, Do ya think I am correct ?
