Monorails Get Paint Job

I noticed today that the monorails have been touched up. The colors look brighter and the overall monorail looks shiney and polished. They look absolutely gorgeous and look like entirely new monorails.

I think you are one of the few. I think it looks awful and cheapens the look. Especially now that the monorails are all shiney and glossy, and that design is so... not.

I'm eating at Ohana tomorrow so I'll get a picture of the monorail when I'm over there.

I saw the blue monorail and was thinking "Why does this look so different?" Then I saw the red, purple and then black monorail and noticed the glossy look. They look so, so good.

We were there on Monday and to be honest I didn't really notice much a difference from when I was there in February. Not sure when the "touch up" happened though.

Can anyone post a pic of what the monorail looks like now? I was there for chrismas and new year's and the monorail looked like somebody splashed multi colered paint all over and it looked crappy.

They still look like that. It's the decorations from the Year of a Millions dreams celebration. It's supposed to look like streamers according to the monorail driver.

I noticed today at Epcot that the monorails over there didn't seem painted. I don't know if only certain ones were painted or what the deal is. I saw Black, Blue, Purple and I think Green. They look exactly the same as they did except brighter and shiney. I'm not sure how well the pictures will show it, but I'll try to get something tonight.
