    A tentative labor agreement announced Wednesday night between Walt Disney World Resort and its largest labor group -- promising some workers pay raises of 4 percent or more -- is being opposed by one union.

    wow. as a union man myself, I never would have guessed that Disney workers were organized. no offense to Disney, but they don't seem like the kind of corporation that wouldn't completely squash union efforts.

    as a matter of fact, Walt himself felt that unions were part of a Communist conspiracy, and testified as such before the House Un-American Activities Committee in October of 1947.

    once again, as a union man myself, I do not have any hard feelings about this. the truth is, many organizers of labor unions in the early days were, in fact, Communist sympathizers. besides that, it is widely known that Walt felt betrayed by his workers, whom he thought of as family, when they joined the union and went on strike.

    If we can dream it, we can do it
