    Disney to host citizenship ceremony

    The Magic Kingdom will serve as backdrop when more than 1,000 immigrants swear allegiance to the United States as new citizens during a special Fourth of July naturalization ceremony at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

    About a thousand people are new U.S. citizens Wednesday after a star-studded ceremony at Walt Disney World.

    U.S. Senator Mel Martinez gave the keynote address and Gloria Estefan sang the national anthem. Lee Greenwood closed with "God Bless the U.S.A."

    I watched the ceremony live on-line. It was truly inspiring even after it started to rain and everyone started putting on those ugly ponchos. Lee Greenwood did a good job with God Bless the USA and the fly-over by the F-16s was awesome. I almost missed it.
