.....12th Annual Epcot® Food and Wine Festival Welcome Center.
Why does the great movie line "I'm not dead yet!" come to mind?
I received a mailing today about the schedule of events for the upcoming Food and Wine Festival. Here the blurb from the mailing....
It will be interesting to see how much the pavillion has been changed and/or gutted!!For the 12th Annual Epcot® Food and Wine Festival we have a new Welcome Center location in Future World at the Wonders of Life Pavillion. This venue will feature a Festival Merchandise Shop, the Festival Wine Shop, a Champagne and Wine Bar and the Official Book Signing location for celebrity chefs and authors. In addition, you will also find two seminars areas featuring daily complementary wine seminars and a location for the daily International Beers of the World seminars.
Daily Complementary culinary demonstrations will continue to take place in Odyssey-The Chef Showplace located in the World Showcase.

Yeah, we received our schedule on Saturday!
I saw this and was so excited. I guess the WoL pavilion is not dead yet. It's very exciting to see how it's going to be used. Everybody thought that this past Christmas season was the last time we would get to visit WoL. I'm glad they were wrong. Can't wait to visit during the Food & Wine Festival. We just made our reservations today.

When you say you received your schedule on Saturday...was it for the F & W Festival? They just started taking ressies this morning right? Do you have any additional details you can share. i.e. culinary demonstration schedules, free wine seminars, etc.
There are details at Walt Disney World Resort - Detecting Browser Properties . . . and at Food and Wine Festival - Epcot , at least for the events requiring reservations.
It took an hour to get through this morning, but I am very happy I got in to a Sweet Sunday event![]()

Yes, GalPal, we received the Food & Wine Festival event listing on Saturday.
And we called Monday morning at 9:30 AM to make reservations for the Exquisite Evenings at Epcot for Friday, October 12 or the 19th and both dates were already sold out!!
So, we're doing the South African Walkabout on Friday, Party for the Senses on Saturday, and Sweet Sundays on, uh, oh yeah, Sunday.
I'm trying to scan it to post it here, but it is of unusual size...they designed it to look somewhat like a menu, so it's like 11X17.
Did they give you any info about the free wine seminars or culinary demonstrations?
What are the eventual plans for the Wonders of Life Pavilion?

Hopefully, in time, a new pavillion. Whether it's a reincarnation of the old WOL or something totally new, I hope it gets a sponsor soon and can open as something fabulous, based on the "old Epcot" attitude. What are the eventual plans for the Wonders of Life Pavilion?Epcot deserves it!
