Taking a look at the upcoming Christmas lights on Cinderella’s Castle

As strange is it may seem, the holiday season is not that far away, and the Mouse is planning on lighting up Cinderella’s Castle for the first time. We reported back in July of this possibility, but now Disney has a “Backstage Pass” video on their website that shows just how amazing this is going to be. (Here is the link, though you do have to register to watch. The second icon on the bottom gets you to the one about the castle, but they are all worth watching.)

I liked the idea from the minute I heard it, but the short glimpse you get in the video of the concept drawing looks even better that I imagined. I envy those of you lucky enough to get to Disney World this holiday season. Hopefully these lights will be a yearly event.

I just finished watching the video and it looks like it's going to be a special show every night. Not just for MVMCP as I said in an earlier thread.

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! I was considering not going to MVMCP this time down....but I have to now for the lighting. I know they will probably have it every night, but It will be even better to experience it at the MVMCP.

Is my countdown clock going backwards? I can't wait.

Seems as soon as we decided to make plans for our next trip to be to Disneyland instead of WDW all these cool plans for WDW started happening. LOL!

The Castle looks like its going to be amazing but I must say I was excited to see this video because we were at Epcot watching it get filmmed! We have been wondering where it was gonna pop up for a few months...they filmed in August lol...Thats really cool to see tho

Once again I think they are going to light the castle on all nights. Not just for MVMCP, I don't think that'll be fair to everyone else.

yes anyone going has to give us the 411 and insiders point of view i havnt been there at xmas since 1999 -2000 and thats when it was record low and like 20 degrees outside lol!!! i wish i was going now!! keep updating us!!!
