Toy Story Mania Dates

I got this from WDW News Today:

Here are the dates our “sources” have stated for the following events pertaining to the new Toy Story Mania attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

-Soft Openings begin on or around April 25, 2008
-Cast Member Previews of the attraction from April 26-27 and May 2-4, 2008
-Media Preview on May 9, 2008
-Annual Passholder Previews from May 10-12, 2008
-Media Press Event on May 16, 2008
-Official Grand Opening on May 20, 2008.

WHOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Our trip is May 9 - 18th - I am SO EXCITED we finally get to do a soft opening!

I really would like to be there for the opening! I was suppose to go to WDW this summer but we postponed our trip to 2009.

So far, all is well in my little corner of Disney's world. Toy Story Mania opens for real 9 days before our trip. Pirates doesn't close for rehab until the day after we leave. Life is good!

I've seen some photos showing Toy Story mania from 30th March. I was quite surprised as it doesn't look like its even nearly ready. They are only just planting the trees and no pathways are down yet. Here is a link to the photos if any one wants a look.

Has anyone every been to a park during Media Day? Is there anything to see, or is everything blocked off?

The news I got from someone who rode TSM yesterday, was that the lines were really long (2 hours), the cue is outstanding, and it was a great ride. Many people got off the ride and yelled to those still in the cue, "it's worth the wait, hang in there." (That's always good to hear.) Mr. Potato Head is a combination of an automatronic and an interactive attraction.
