Well, I'm happy to hear of an Innoventions attraction that is not going to be a living commercial at least. I half expected to see it was going to be sponsored by an insurance company.
What do you all think? According to a report on Fox News:
(quoted directly from the article on Fox)
"A new exhibit opening in late August at Disney's Epcot Innoventions pavilion will put visitors in the eye of the storm's lashing category 4 winds using 3-D technology and surround sound."
"Disney officials talked about Stormstruck: The Tale of Two Homes", during the Governor's Hurricane conference on Friday."
There is a further discussion about fortifying the home to make it durable and showing the examples of a regular home and a fortified home.
The attraction will be sponsored by Federal Alliance for Safe Homes for three years.
How does that sound to everyone?
P.U.S.H.-A mantra MOST will not understand.
Disney rocks, Walt was a genius.

Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.

There is a museum in the Tampa area that has an attraction like that. It's neat. It'll be a good fit for Innoventions.
Here's a link to an article with a little more about the attraction: Mickey News °o° - Disney Attraction Puts Guests in Eye of Hurricane Charley

Well, after dealing with the hurricanes of '04 firsthand, I have absolutely no desire to experience this attraction. I'm fairly certain my kids won't want to, either.
DD(16) still talks about the hours we spent in the laundry room during Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. I don't think she has any desire to relive that particular stress again.![]()
