    Thanks Suzy.

    Deluxe dining = "3 TS meals per day". Is this 3 TS meals only, no CS meals? It looks like Deluxe Dining no longer offers the option to use the 3 meals for CS or TS.

    Will passholders still be able to add a dining plan in 2009?

    Thank you.

    THe packages look okay if you are staying on property. I noticed that the price of table service meals really skyrocketed when they started the DDP. The menu selections also decreased. I found that the table service meals were no longer worth their value unless you were on the plan. Actually, a good marketing strategy by Disney management to drive sales of their DDPs and encourage guests to stay on property. Also a good way to fill ADRs. I just hope that counter-service meals do not see a big increase in prices as well to make the new quick-service DDP more attractive. Unfortunately, the Disney Company is really testing my wallet to see if I find a visit to be a good value worth the exspense.

    I, for one, can't imagine ever buying the Quick-Service DDP. The only way to make out on it is if you eat lunch and dinner EVERY day of your trip at a counter-service location. In other words, NO table-service meals for lunch or dinner. I really find it hard to believe there'll be that many people who don't want to eat at least *one* table service meal throughout the trip...

    Full Details on New Dining Plan

    August 5, 2008 at 4:17 pm EST

    Here are the details on the new quick service dining plan Walt Disney World will be rolling out in 2009, provided by our good friends at Magical Travel:
    New! Magic Your Way Package Plus Quick Service Dining

    The Magic Your Way Package Plus Quick Service Dining includes Disney Resort accommodations, a Magic Your Way Ticket and a Disney Quick Service Dining Plan that offers 2 Quick Service meals, 2 Snacks (select dining locations) per person per night of the package stay, plus 1 Resort Refillable Drink Mug per person, per package. With this package, guests can save up to 20% per adult on dining.
    Dining Plan adds $29.99 per adult, $8.99 per child (ages 3 to 9), per night

    For each
    PACKAGE NIGHT, clients with this package will receive:
    2 Quick Service Meals
    One entrée OR one complete Combo Meal
    One dessert (Lunch or Dinner) or one juice (Breakfast)
    One single serving non-alcoholic beverage
    2 Snacks
    Choose from:
    - Frozen ice-cream novelty, popsicle or fruit bar
    - Box of popcorn
    - Single serving grab bag of Frito-Lay’s chips
    - One 20oz bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or Dansani water
    - Single piece whole fruit
    - Medium fountain soft drink or apple juice
    Resort Refillable Drink Mug
    1 per person, per package

    I think it would be at least a wash for what you receive especially with two snacks. Also remember food prices individually are going up. The kids is a bargin. It would be great for families with older kids that split away for a few hours during the day.

    Well, you could use one of your quick services for breakfast and pay out of pocket for your table dinner. I could see people doing that

    Are these the only snack options? When I did the plan last April, I used the snack option to get a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast. I can't see this being a good deal if your only two options came from this short list.

    That looks a lot like the list they put out in the brochure each year, but they have always had many more options than just those. It would be hard to imagine they would cut it back that far, but then again I guess they could.

    Here's the actual 2009 Quick Service Dining Plan brochure: http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/me...ickService.pdf

    It lists "Some examples of eligible Snack options include...."
    * Frozen Ice-Cream, Novelty, Popsicle or Fruit Bar
    * Popcorn Scoop (single-serving box)
    * Single Piece of Whole Fruit
    * Single-serving Bag of Snacks
    * 20 oz. Bottle of Coke®, Diet Coke®, Sprite® or 20 oz. Dasani® Water
    * Medium Fountain Soft Drink
    * 12 oz. Coffee, Hot Chocolate, or Hot Tea
    * Single-serving Prepackaged Milk or Juice

    I'm willing to bet it will be just about the exact same options as they have been for this year and last.
