2009 Pirate and Princess Parties!!

Looks like the Pirate and Princess Parties are returning in 2009. The dates are released on the All Ears website:

Very cool! Would it be worth it for my sister (19) and I (21) to pay to go? What is it like? More specifically, what makes it worth the extra $45.00 for people our age (if anything)?

What you will get:
- limited attendance, so generally little to no lines
- special parade, fireworks, and entertainment
- many but not all attractions open
- photo ops with some characters that are not usually available

What may or may not appeal to you:
- dance parties with characters
- collecting "treasure"
- opportunity to dress up in costume if you want (they encourage you to come dressed as a pirate or princess)

In my opinion, the fireworks are worth the $45, they are utterly amazing!! But I liked collecting the treasure when I went. I made a challenge with my friend, who I went with to see who could get more treasure!

The fireworks (Magic, Music and Mayhem) are the best part of the night. It is the one thing you don't want to miss.

I can't wait to go again! I have been to 4 P&P so far, and I will probably be going to 1+ of the last 4 parties in May/June.

I have been to the Pirate and Princess Party 10 times and I love it. This time the Pirate and Princess Parties will not be during my birthday week, but that is okay because I am still going to DisneyWorld for my Birthday I might go to Pirate and Princess party after my Birthday vacation. Another idea that I have is I could book a dinner at Ohana and watch the Pirate and Princess Party fireworks from there.

I attended P &P on a solo trip 3/07, so I am very excited to go again....I am hoping for 5/20/09.

I am hoping they extend it through the weekend of the 5th of June so I can actually take my nieces. *Cross Fingers*

I was just hoping that they would have had one during our trip April 24-30. Maybe I'll cross my fingers and hope that they add a show or two.
